Circuit n°3 : Cliff-top villages of the Monts de Vaucluse (63 Km, 39 miles)

Apt - les Beaumettes : 17 km (10 miles) - (N100 to Avignon)
SIGHTSEEING: Beaumettes means "little caves". Visit the cave dwellings and the Maison de la Céramique en Luberon (sale and exhibitions of ceramics).
Les Beaumettes - Cabrières : 6 km (3.7 miles) - (D103 then D207), Lagnes and Fontaine de Vaucluse
SIGHTSEEING: 1720 plague wall (partly restored), built to protect Comtat de Provence and Comtat Venaissain from the plague. The cedar forest is ideal for a family day out.
Cabrières - Gordes : 6 km (3.7 miles)
SIGHTSEEING: one of the most beautiful villages in France, notable for its dry-stone features. The famous "borie village", the 12th-century Abbaye de Sénanque, one of three Cistercian sister abbeys in Provence.

Lioux - Gargas : 12 km (7.5 miles) - (towards Font Jouvale, la Tuilière, les Cordiers, D101)
SIGHTSEEING: One the way you can visit the last ochre quarry, the sedimentation tanks, and the exhibition on ochre.
