Circuit n°2 : Between Grand and Petit Luberon (53 km, 32 miles)
Apt - Saignon : 4 km (2.4 miles) - (take the D 48 at the roundabout on the way out of d’Apt, head for Digne)
SIGHTSEEING: the Bellevue rock with its spectacular view and viewpoint indicator. The village is steeped in medieval charm.
Saignon - Buoux : 8 km (5 miles) - (D232 then turn left down to Buoux)
SIGHTSEEING: the Plateau des Claparèdes, with its bories, low walls and lavender fields. The ruins of the Fort de Buoux, perched on a rocky outcrop, the cliffs - popular with rock-climbers - and the Aiguebrun valley.
Buoux - Bonnieux : 8 km (5 miles) - (D113, turn right and take the D943, then left for the D232)
SIGHTSEEING: The "Provencal Mont St Michel" and its church at the top of the village. Nature walks for all the family in the Cedar Forest.
Bonnieux - Lacoste : 5.5 km (3.4 miles) - (D109)
SIGHTSEEING: ruins of the Marquis de Sade's Château and its picturesque streets.
Lacoste - Ménerbes : 7 km (4.3 miles) - (D109)
SIGHTSEEING: The village looks like a ship, with a bow and stern. Its history was marred by religious wars.
Ménerbes - Goult - Lumières : 7 km (4.3 miles) - (D103, cross the N100)
SIGHTSEEING: recently restored windmill, pilgrimage to Notre-Dame de Lumières, with its crypt and black virgin.
Goult - Roussillon : 8 km (5 miles) - (D104)
SIGHTSEEING: attractive village and the famous Ochre Trail. Outside the village you can visit the conservatory of ochre and pigments used in the former Mathieu factory.
Roussillon - Apt : 13 km (8 miles) - (D104, D4 and N100)
SIGHTSEEING: near the "Rond Point des Lavandes": Kerry Candied Fruit Factory in Aptunion.
