SIGHTSEEING: the ruins of the original fortified village, the ramparts of the castle; the fortified chapel; the 17th-century windmills.

St Saturnin - les Apt - Lagarde d’Apt : 18 Km (11 miles) - (D179 towards Rustrel, then D34)
SIGHTSEEING: the 1100-metre (3608-foot) high mountain with its spectacular view stretching as far as the Alps. Tours, lessons and other activities at the SIRENE observatory.

Lagarde d’Apt - St Christol : 10 Km (6 miles) - (D34)
SIGHTSEEING: the Plateau d’Albion and former strategic missiles headquarters, now an underground laboratory, in Bas Bruit.

St Christol - Simiane - la-Rotonde : 6 Km (3.7 miles) - (D166 then D18)
SIGHTSEEING: la Rotonde, a mysterious pyramid-shaped building, now a concert venue. Afterwards, you can go on to Valsaintes and visit the Abbaye de la Rose and its gardens (D18 for Valsaintes/St Michel, then follow the directions for Roseraie).
